Bitbond Announces Offering with NYALA for Issuers of Crypto Securities Under German Electronic Securities Act

Bitbond is working with NYALA for issuers of crypto securities (digital securities) under the German Electronic Securities Act.

Combining Bitbond’s “bank-grade” tokenization infrastructure with NYALA’s BaFin-regulated Crypto Securities Registry services, their clients would aim to “benefit from a scalable issuance platform for bonds, certificates, and fund units, ensuring full regulatory compliance under the German.

Based in Berlin, NYALA explains that it “offers financial service providers and institutional investors product solutions and API services for digital assets in the core business area of tokenization, covering the full lifecycle of digital assets, from issuance and distribution to trading and interest payouts.”

Their subsidiary Smart Registry GmbH holds “a preliminary license for crypto securities registration under Sec. 1(1a) sent. 2 no. 8, 65(2) of the German Banking Act and is, therefore, able to issue fully regulated tokenized (crypto) securities under the German Electronic Securities Act (eWpG).”

As covered, Bitbond says that it “supports hundreds of customers with tokenization infrastructure and expertise.”

As reported last year, Ledger, best known for its hardware digital wallets, is now offering tokenization services via its enterprise division or turning assets into digital assets.

In a blog post, Legder said it was “unlocking institutional opportunities” as more firms look to leverage distributed ledger technology to issue and manage digital assets. Ledger said it was partnering with two other well-known tokenization firms, Bitbond, Tokeny, and Eniblock, as well as working with Deloitte on the initiative.

More recently, Bitbond announced their partnership with MELD.

Their users can now easily “create, manage, and distribute tokens, as well as NFTs, on Meld.”

The teams are pleased to “see a new generation of tokenization projects launched on this rising Layer 1 network.”
